    Launch of NJDG for High Courts

    National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) for High Courts was launched by Shri. K.K. Venugopal, Attorney General of India on 3 July 2020 in the presence of Hon’ble Dr Justice D Y Chandrachud, Chairperson, e-Committee, Shri. Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India, Shri. Barun Mitra, Secretary (Justice), Hon’ble Mr Justice, R C Chavan, Vice Chairman, e-Committee, Shri. Sanjeev Kalgaonkar, Secretary General, Supreme Court of India and other e-Committee Members.

    NJDG is a repository of case data and has been created with elastic search features. As of 23 July, 2020, data of 3,34,11,178 pending cases are available on NJDG for District and Taluk Courts. This data can be accessed at https://njdg.e-Courts.gov.in/njdgnew/index.php

    Data of 43,76,258 pending cases are available on NJDG for High Courts and can be accessed at https://njdg.e Courts.gov.in/hcnjdgnew/

    The creation of NJDG has also been lauded by the World Bank and has contributed to India moving 20 ranks forward in the Ease of Doing Business ranking.
